Joining Lorenzo BrownMalik Beasley and Kobi Simmons, north Fulton County has another player in the NBA.

ESPN reports that Jaron Blossomgame – a Chattahoochee High School graduate – agreed to a standard G-League contract with the Austin Spurs, an affiliate for the NBA's San Antonio team.

Initial reports said Blossomgame signed a two-way deal – like what Simmons and Brown signed – but this contract ties Blossomgame directly to Austin for the whole season. San Antonio retains his draft rights and are the only NBA team who can sign him this season.

A two-way contract is new to the NBA and it is designated for players who might need a little more time developing in the G-League, a minor league of sorts for the NBA.

San Antonio drafted Blossomgame – who turns 24 next month – 59th overall in this year’s draft after he spent five seasons at Clemson. In Greenville, South Carolina, Blossomgame made the All-ACC team twice and led the Tigers to NIT tournament appearances in 2014 and 2017.

For his career at Clemson, he averaged 13.5 points per-game.

At Chattahoochee High in Johns Creek, Blossomgame set school records for most career points, rebounds and blocked shots. He was also recruited by Virginia Commonwealth University, Wichita State, Mercer and Tennessee Tech.

A 6-foot-7 forward, Blossomgame played with the Spurs in the summer league and nearly put two Portland Trailblazers on a poster with an And-1 dunk from the baseline.

The Spurs went 61-21 last season before being swept in the Western Conference Finals.
