Don't be alarmed if you see a kid from Milton do a cartwheel – like Robbie Keane – after scoring a goal.

The folks in this city in north Fulton County are catching soccer fever.

Milton is looking to add a youth soccer program to its parks and recreation offerings in 2018. To get kids out on to the pitch, the city is now accepting proposals from vendors to handle the programming.

Details of what the city is looking for in a proposal can be found on its website. Milton says it is looking for a program proposal that stresses recreational soccer as a priority.

Milton is aiming for its soccer season to start in February 2018 and run through May. Fulton County School fields will be the main field space utilized by the program and Milton says it will cover the costs of soccer goals.

Once a vendor is selected, Milton will open up registration for the program to youth. The program will be designed specifically for residents of Milton and Alpharetta.

Kids who live outside of those north Fulton cities are still welcome to sign up, but registration will cost them 50 percent more. Milton said the vendor will set the registration fee.
