Fayette County arts committee has open seat

Fayette County’s Public Arts Committee is accepting applications for an open seat whose term expires in May 2020.

The seven-member volunteer board meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday and third Monday of each month to develop programs that promote public participation and appreciation of art in community spaces. The committee also makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners about civic projects, arts stewardship and long-term goals. Committee members must be Fayette County residents.

Applications, available from Tameca White at twhite@fayettecountyga.gov or at www.fayettecountyga.gov, must be received by Oct. 27.
