The Atlanta Police Department's LGBT Liaison Unit will soon participate in a public game night with beer and music.

The Atlanta Police Foundation event, located at the recently-opened Monday Night Garage, takes place Oct. 12th at 933 Lee St. SW from 6 to 9 p.m.

A $20 donation to Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta is suggested, and guests can register here.

The goal of the LGBT Liaison Unit is to improve the relationship between the LGBT community and police, according to APD. Officer Courtney Mack was named the newest liaison with the city's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities in March.
