The record breaking 80,000 or so people who attended Dragon Con in downtown Atlanta earlier this month may still be glowing from the hugeness of it all, but it's already time to start planning for next year.
Memberships — which are tickets to the culture-and-sci-fi convention — have been for sale online since this year's event ended, and they're about to go up in price.
The five-day memberships for the event — Aug. 30 to Sep. 3, 2018 — cost $85 through Friday, but they’ll increase to $95 Saturday.

Beyond that, a price schedule isn’t planned yet. Increases are traditionally done incrementally in the middles of September, November, February, May and July, according to a spokesman.
Single-day memberships are usually made available for purchase in mid-July, and memberships for part of the weekend are only made available at the door once the show begins — those are never sold ahead of time.
