A dog that was buried alive for days in a Lilburn dumpster has found a new home, Emily Goldstein said.
Goldstein was helping a neighbor find a home for the young beagle after her neighbor found the dog buried under mounds of trash in a dumpster. Goldstein posted a classified ad and got dozens of inquiries from around the country.
“I got calls from Minneapolis to Texas to Florida asking about the dog,” Goldstein said. “Some people weren’t even calling to adopt, they just wanted to know how he was doing.”
The dog has been adopted by a man who works at the business near where the dog was found, Goldstein said. The dog, who doesn’t have a name yet, will have a “brother dog” to hang out with, Goldstein said.
