DeKalb high school band will be on BET’s ‘The Quad’ this week


The band at Southwest DeKalb High is set to be featured on an episode of BET’s show focusing on life at historic black colleges, “The Quad.”

The school announced the appearance on Facebook with a note from Brian Egeston, a DeKalb resident and writer for the show.

“I haven’t seen the final cut, but I’ve heard it’s incredible,” he said.

The show is scheduled to air Wednesday at 10 p.m.

The band’s role in the show hasn’t been revealed.
