Cherokee County students won't be going to school Tuesday due to icy conditions from a weekend winter storm.

Cherokee Schools announced the news on its now-famous Twitter account.

But the district expects to re-open Wednesday.

A winter storm was expected to bring 4 inches of snow to the area but only brought hazardous, icy roads.

The icy conditions kept students in Cherokee and other northern metro Atlanta counties out of school Monday.
