Buford City Schools named best district in Georgia in new ranking

Gwinnett County Public Schools may be the largest district in Georgia, but one ranking has another Gwinnett County district as the best in the state.

Buford City Schools was ranked the best school district in Georgia by Niche.com, an education and real estate analysis site. The site uses surveys from parents, student and teachers, as well as test scores and data from the schools and the U.S. Department of Education to determine its rankings.

Gwinnett County Public Schools was No. 13 in the rankings. Niche ranked Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology, part of the Gwinnett County district, as the best public high school in the state last week.

Buford City Schools’ report card got straight As. It received A+ grades for teachers, administration, clubs and activities, sports and health and safety; A grades in food, resources and facilities, diversity and college prep; and an A- in academics.
