The driver of this white car was killed in a crash with a school bus in Douglasville on Monday.

A driver was killed Monday afternoon in Douglas County after crashing into two middle school buses, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The deadly accident happened just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Chapel Hill Road and Central Church Road, Douglas County Deputy Communications Director Rick Martin told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

A car ran a red light, hit one bus carrying Chapel Hill Middle School students, bounced off it and hit another bus from the same school, Douglas County Schools spokeswoman Portia Lake said.

The silver Ford Taurus went underneath one of the buses, killing the driver, officials said. The Georgia State Patrol identified the driver as 50-year-old Teresa Ann Jackson.

“There were no serious injuries sustained by the students onboard both buses,” the GSP said in a statement. “One student complained of minor injuries and was taken to Douglas WellStar Hospital in Douglasville, and was treated and released.”
