Ian Buckalew, Marcus DiBattista, Matt Harmon, Parker Korn, Robbie van Zyl, and Andrew Walter, members of McIntosh High School's drone team, won the 2017 National UAS4STEM championship.

Eugene Bois, Sydney Lopes and Julia Schick of the Cobb County Center for Excellence in Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School were all awarded Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative Training Scholarships from the American Theatre Wing.

Ethan Asher and Sophia Woodrow of Centennial High School were named winners of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize competition in Georgia and advanced to the National SJWP competition in North Carolina for their research project, Exploring the Aquaponic Theory as a Sustainable Water Solution.
