All 10 businesses in the new Belmont development in Smyrna should be open by September, including four restaurants: Opa Greek Village Taverna, Torta Di Napoli, Cielo Blue Mexican Grill and Cantina and Creatwood Tavern.

The other six businesses in Belmont are Belmont Cleaners, Hearing Solutions, a shoe boutique named Ms. Heel, N-Style barber shop, Parisian Nail Salon and Sprint Wireless.

On 47.5 acres developed by Halpern Enterprises, the former Belmont Hills Shopping Center site now is known as The Village at Belmont with around 150 single-family detached houses, The Shops at Belmont with nearly 50,000 square feet of retail space and Alta at Belmont with nearly 300 apartments.

Halpern also is planning to open a medical office building to Belmont — the two-story Belmont Physician Center with 30,000 square feet.

The area includes the addition of the new Smyrna Elementary School, a Cobb County School District facility, along with walkways and bike paths.
