Kyu Jin Lim, 46, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions and improper lane change after his car allegedly clipped a parked vehicle and flipped over in a Duluth neighborhood.

“I had about six beers. I’m guilty,” Lim told the officer. “Am I going to jail now?”

Lim, 46, was arrested and booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center late Wednesday night on charges of DUI, reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions and improper/erratic lane change. He was released on bond the following morning.

Officers responded to the accident after receiving a report of a roll-over crash. While driving, Lim struck a black car parked on the side of the road before flipping his white SUV, according to a police report. Lim was uninjured in the crash, without a scratch or bruise, the police report said.

Lim had consumed six bottles of Coors Light at a nearby bar before driving toward his girlfriend’s house on Howell Park Road, the same road where the crash occurred, the report said. Lim told officers that he had hit a curb causing the accident, and had asked witnesses to call 911 after the crash.

Lim's blood alcohol content was 0.118, according to the police report. In Georgia, 0.08 is the legal blood alcohol limit for adult drivers.
