‘Walking Dead’ duo offer aid at Peachtree City car accident

Nothing like a couple of zombie-slayers to come to your aid after a traffic accident.

Thursday afternoon, two cast members from the popular post-apocalyptic AMC television show “The Walking Dead” stopped to check on drivers involved in a fender-bender in Peachtree City.

The pair - Norman Reedus and Steven Yeun - clad in full zombie butt-kicking black gear were seen at the scene of the accident at the intersection of Ga Hwy 54 and Line Creek Drive. Reedus plays crossbow-carrying Daryl Dixon and Yeun is Glen Rhee.

“They stopped to see if everybody was o.k.,” Peachtree City Police Lt. Mark Brown confirmed Friday morning. Brown noted there were some injuries but declined to give details.

The duo’s kindness drew big response online as fans and onlookers reposted a photo of the incident taken by a witness at the scene, Mikhail Turan. Thousands learned about it on the “The Spoiling Dead Fans” Facebook page which drew 1,300 comments and 5,500 shares.

“Dead” is set to start filming its seventh season in nearby Senoia in Coweta County.
