Tonight’s your first chance to be heard (again) about the future of transportation in Gwinnett County.
The county began work to update its comprehensive transportation plan — which will steer its transportation investment through 2040 — last year, holding public meetings, conducting surveys and more.
It’s now embarking on a second round of public meetings to solicit community feedback on the goals, potential projects and investments developed through the first part of the process.
The first meeting is at 5:30 p.m. today at Lilburn City Hall.
“At the meetings, attendees can pick up a ‘passport’ to visit various stations to learn about possible transportation options in their area and countywide, and offer comments,” the county said in a press release.
The comprehensive transportation plan is a different undertaking from the transit study that Gwinnett Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash recently announced. That study will focus exclusively on potential transit improvements.
A total of six public meetings regarding the transportation plan have been scheduled. They are listed below.
