Lake Spivey Race set for Oct. 10


The 7th Annual Lake Spivey Road Race will be Saturday, Oct. 10. The race begins at 8 a.m. and includes a 3.1 mile walk or run course. For the more advanced or ambitious participant, there is the 9.3 mile course. All registered runners and walkers receive a race shirt. Age group winners and overall Masters winners will receive awards. Lake Spivey Community and Clayton County Parks and Recreation Department are using the MyLaps B-Tag timing system on both courses. Proceeds go to Kids Outdoors Initiative and the Southern Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Registration fees are $30 for the 5K or 3.1 mile race and $35 for the 15K or 9.3 mile course. Deadline for registering is Oct. 9. Register at claytonparks.com.
