Eviction puts Jonesboro man in jail for growing pot

A Jonesboro man evicted from his apartment earlier this week soon found other accomodations: the county jail - courtesy of the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

When Clayton sheriff’s deputies went to Donald Hardy’s apartment Tuesday to evict him, Hardy was reluctant to let them in. They soon found out why. Hardy had containers of marijuana growing in his bedroom.

“Though evicted from his home Donald Hardy was found a place to stay at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail where he now faces the wall,” the sheriff’s department stated on NIXEL, its online community correspondence.
