Teacher, paraprofessional in taped fight will be fired, DeKalb Schools officials say

Parents are calling for the firing of the two Stone Mountain Middle School educators.

A teacher and a paraprofessional at Stone Mountain Middle School have been removed from the school and charged with disorderly conduct in a public place following a fight Friday that was caught on tape by students.

Brittany Randolph-Johnson and Milan Etheridge, both 27, were charged Friday with one count each of disrupting public school and affray.

DeKalb County School District officials said Wednesday both women will be terminated over the incident.

“The employees involved in the unacceptable physical altercation at Stone Mountain Middle School will be terminated following the conclusion of the appropriate district processes,” district officials said in a statement. “We will never tolerate such behavior in our schools.”

In one 24-second clip, posted on social media, two women are seen in what appears to be a science classroom punching each other several times before another adult attempts to break up the fight.

DeKalb County School District officials declined to name either woman involved.

The incident at a DeKalb County school comes after video surfaced twice this month from fights at Discovery High School in Gwinnett County.
