A committee of Gwinnett County residents approved a plan late Monday that would fund new sidewalks and intersection improvements at some public schools and Georgia Gwinnett College.

The projects would be funded by a 1-percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.

The work would be done at:

  • Anderson-Livsey Elementary School
  • Brookwood High School
  • Georgia Gwinnett College
  • Graves Elementary School
  • Gwin Oaks Elementary School
  • Mill Creek High School

There would additional work at additional existing schools.

Gwinnett County’s Board of Commissioners must still approve the plan. A vote is scheduled this spring, officials said.
