Nearly two months after a man was killed while selling his video game console during a meetup, authorities have arrested the suspected trigger man, East Point police said Monday.

Quantavious Poole, 21, was booked into the Fulton County jail Sunday after surrendering. Police say he shot and killed 24-year-old Larry Stewart, according to jail records.

Police found Stewart bleeding heavily from his chest near an apartment building on Kenelworth Drive in East Point, according to a police report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police they saw Stewart and Poole talking in a stairwell before the fatal Dec. 1 shooting.

One witness heard Stewart scream “please don’t” before several shots were fired, according to the report. Stewart was seen running up the stairwell toward the front of the apartment complex, where he died.

At the time of the shooting, Stewart’s sister, Jamila Bigham, told Channnel 2 Action News her brother posted the PlayStation 4 on the OfferUp app. But she was uneasy about the potential transaction.

Poole has a preliminary hearing Feb. 5, according to Channel 2.
