Cobb police are searching for four armed men who were seen wearing ski masks, dark clothing and white gloves shortly after a deadly shooting outside an apartment near Marietta.

The shooting occurred Wednesday at the Crescent Square Apartments in the 2000 block of Austell Road, Officer Alicia Chilton said Thursday morning. Officers responded about 11:35 a.m. and found the body of Roland Milton III, 29, of Marietta.

The four masked men ran from the scene before police arrived, Chilton said.

An argument inside one of the apartments may have spread to the parking lot and ended in gunfire, Channel 2 Action News reported Wednesday. Police interviewed witnesses at the scene.

“We had over one hundred people on the scene when we arrived,” Chilton told Channel 2 Action News, “but we’re not getting much cooperation from anyone. We understand the grieving process ... someone they know who passed away. Any information we can get would be super helpful.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 770-499-3945.

Tipsters can also remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org.
