Two men were sentenced to life without parole for their roles in an armed home invasion of a jewelry store owner, Gwinnett County prosecutors said Friday.

Jarvis Levoyd Tucker, 47, and Jason Jermoine Tucker, 38, of Atlanta, were convicted of 18 charges that included two counts of armed robbery, four counts of false imprisonment and four counts of kidnapping, prosecutors said in a news release.

In the 2011 incident, masked men with guns forced their way into the victim’s residence, which was off Sugarloaf Parkway, according to the release. The men ransacked the house and threatened the man and his family at gunpoint.

The case went cold until 2015, when a federal inmate in Arizona contacted Gwinnett police and provided information regarding the identity of the home invaders, prosecutors said.

The defendants and another man were arrested in January 2016 in Norcross in a joint operation between the FBI and Gwinnett police, officials said. Authorities said they were conspiring to rob a jewelry store owner at his residence.
