A man accused of attempting to rape a Georgia Tech student will remain in jail after a judge revoked his bond in a stalking case on the campus earlier this year, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Joshua Manns, 22, of Austell, faces burglary and attempted rape charges, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. He was arrested two days after he got out of jail on multiple stalking charges.

Atlanta police say Manns followed a woman into an elevator and onto her floor before the alleged Friday night attack.

“As the victim was opening her door, the suspect forced her inside and began struggling with the victim to pull her clothing off of her,” Atlanta police Officer Lisa Bender said.

The woman started to scream, and that’s when her roommate and the roommate’s boyfriend heard her and ran to her aid, Bender said.

Manns had just been released from the Fulton County jail.

According to Fulton court records, he pleaded guilty in September to a July 16 stalking case on the Tech campus. He was sentenced to 12 months of probation, ordered to pay a $49 monthly probation fee and told not to have contact with the victims.

Court records show Manns was also ordered to stay away from the campus.
