UPDATE [8:30 a.m.]: The Georgia Department of Corrections recaptured Jared William Pardue about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday and brought him back to the Central State Prison. Pardue escaped from a work detail earlier that day.

ORIGINAL STORY: An inmate walked away Wednesday from a work detail at Central State Prison in Macon, the Georgia Department of Corrections said.
Jared William Pardue, 37, was last seen operating a Bobcat machine, the Macon Telegraph reported.

He was wearing a state-issued orange shirt and white pants with a blue stripe, officials said. People are asked not to approach Pardue if he is seen. Instead, call the corrections department at 478-992-5111 or the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
Pardue is described as 6-foot-4, 225 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was an inmate at the Spalding County Correctional Institution in Griffin serving a sentence for methamphetamine trafficking, according to the Department of Corrections website.
Pardue is the second inmate to escape a Georgia work detail in the past six days. Keyshawn Markese Cobb, 19, walked off from the kitchen at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Monroe County and is still at large.
