A woman said she was carrying groceries from her car to her apartment when she was attacked.

Four people are being sought after an assault on a woman was reported Thursday evening, police said.

The victim said she was carrying groceries from her car to her apartment in the 100 block of Bell Street in southeast Atlanta when a young man approached her and grabbed her from behind, Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee said in a statement.

The woman resisted and called out for help, and four people ran from the scene, as shown in surveillance video.

Anyone with knowledge of the incident is asked to contact police. Also, tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org.
