Three people were arrested Thursday night at a motel in Conyers on human trafficking and prostitution charges, police said.

Just after 11 p.m., police got a 911 call about a soliciting incident at the Jameson Inn on Dogwood Drive, police spokesman Ronald Momon said.

Officers found three people in a room as well as a 16-year-old girl who was being trafficked, according to police.

William Barrondo went to the hotel to meet a woman after communicating via backpage.com, according to Momon. The girl was allegedly being pimped by Jamon Ballard and Alexandria Jackson.

Ballard and Jackson were arrested and are in the Rockdale County jail, police said. Both are charged with human trafficking.

Barrondo is charged with disorderly conduct-prostitution/soliciting for sex, according to police.

The girl was a runaway from Bibb County and is now in the custody of the state Division of Family and Children Services.

“We are proud to have rescued this one child as so many people have fallen victim to human trafficking,” police Chief Gene Wilson said.
