Health care plan stings S. Georgia Trump voters

Kenneth Peek, a farmer in the South Georgia city of Ellaville, voted for Donald Trump hoping for reforms that bring down his health care costs. But preliminary analysis indicates that the proposed GOP health plan would hurt him, not help.

U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan says he will try to change the GOP health care plan to provide more aid to older Americans. That's good news for Kenneth Peek, a South Georgia farmer who was hoping the new plan would give him a break.

Peek is among those South Georgians coming to terms with the GOP plan. In it's current form, the bill hits hardest at people who are older and have limited means.

Like many in South Georgia, Peek supported Donald Trump for president. They are also having to deal with Trump’s support for a health plan that could hurt them. Their reaction may surprise you.
