Growth in DeKalb residential real property taxable value by region

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Property assessments are increasing across DeKalb County as the residential real estate market has heated up. Higher assessments result in residents having to pay higher property taxes. The largest increases came in areas that were hit hardest by the recession, such as Pine Lake, Clarkston, Lithonia and Doraville. The smallest increases were in Dunwoody and the part of Atlanta in DeKalb.
