Commemorative services:Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church will honor the life of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with special services at 7:45 and 11 a.m. Jan. 15. Angela Tuck, an Atlanta-based writer, editor and longtime member of Pleasant Grove, will speak at the first service; Charles Person, a 1961 Freedom Rider, member of the Atlanta Student Movement and a Marine, will be the guest speaker during the second service. Book signing: During the Page From the Book Festival, Dr. Michael J. Breus, author of "The Power of When: Discover Your Chronotype — and the Best Time to Eat Lunch, Ask for a Raise, Have Sex, Write a Novel, Take Your Meds and More," will present a new program that helps people get back in sync with their natural rhythm by making minor changes to their daily routine. Signage for marches: Make signs to carry at the March for Women and Social Justice, which will take place in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., on Jan 21.
