Driver with giant Christmas tree on roof stopped by police


Police in Massachusetts caught what looks like a scene from “Christmas Vacation” on the road Monday, prompting them to remind drivers to be careful when transporting trees this holiday season.

Officers said Friday that they stopped a driver who had a massive Christmas tree unsafely perched atop a vehicle on Route 20 in Sudbury.

Police shared a photo of the tree draped over the vehicle to remind drivers what a dangerous load looks like.

“Sudbury PD would like to remind you to transport your Holiday trees responsibly,” police said in the Facebook post.
