Georgia Tech student on autism spectrum competes on ‘Jeopardy!’


Kelvin Smith, a Georgia Tech student, who is on on the autism spectrum, 

competed in the popular TV game show, ‘Jeopardy!’ Thursday night.

Smith is pursuing his PhD at Georgia Tech

Smith, who was diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of 10, said he has trouble in social situations and reading social cues. He credited his mother and grandfather for helping nurture him, and helping him focus on his strengths. In being on the show, he said, “I encourage people to embrace differences and be winners.”

Kelvin may have finished third, but inspires many.
