Here’s how to train with the Atlanta Track Club for the AJC Peachtree Road Race


Lace up those running shoes and get ready to dash.
The AJC Peachtree Road Race happens July 4. Registration for the Peachtree Road Race  lottery ends today, but April 8 is another important milestone for metro Atlanta entrants. 

That's when the Atlanta Track Club kicks off its in-training program with an event at each of its seven AJC Peachtree Road Race in-training locations.

The down and dirty:

AJC Peachtree Road Race in-training program
schedule: Weekly training sessions take place on Saturday mornings at one of seven Big Peach Running Co. locations throughout the metro Atlanta area with additional mid-week workouts. 
Training period: The 12-week program runs from April 8 through race week of July 4.
Registration closes: April 30
Cost: $65 for training only (and a running log and shirt); $140 for training and Mizuno running shoes valued at $120 or less, redeemed during April.

6 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 Big Peach Running Co. Midtown
6 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 Big Peach Running Co. Brookhaven
6 p.m. Thursday, April 13 Big Peach Running Co. Decatur
