Whether you’ve already embraced your artsy side or want to see how others showcase theirs, check out the “Graphic” exhibit on its final evening at the Abernathy Arts Center. This show is a melange of paintings, drawings and digital media produced by nine graphic artists. As part of the final night’s viewing, the center will hold a closing reception that is open to the public. And, if you find yourself inspired after browsing the artworks, consider signing up for one of the various art classes offered at the center throughout the year.

“Sesame Street” Pop Up Tour

Elmo is town, and he’s brought a few friends along to teach everyone that “K is for Kindness.” Kids of all ages and their parents can meet the ticklish one, along with Abby and Cookie Monster, at the Dillard’s end of Perimeter Mall Jan. 14, when the trio will perform a live show that teaches ways to be kind to others. Kids also can check out the library reading corner and an interactive digital station to learn more about caring. And, you can keep the lesson going on TV during the 47th season of “Sesame Street,” which will show children ways to be kind in everyday life.

Salsa Bootcamp

Let’s be honest: At some point in life, there comes a moment when we wish we’d learned a little salsa, just to light up the dance floor while others look on in awe. Here’s your chance to make the dream a reality with SalsaATL and Dancing4Fun’s three-hour Salsa Bootcamp. Grab a pair of comfy shoes, come alone or with your partner, and prepare to get footloose. If you already know a few moves, a Beyond the Basics Bootcamp, offered at the same time, will take your dancing to the next level. With your new skills, head out to the salsa party and enjoy free entry at Nemoe’s Tavern in Norcross later that night.
