Take these meals out to the ball game

DBA BBQ

If you’re coming in from Virginia Highland  (or passing anywhere in the vicinity), stop by DBA for a Braves only package. The package includes four sandwiches (pulled pork or chopped chicken), choice of four sides, one quart of boiled peanuts & four brownies for $40. Just show your Braves ticket to get the special. If you have a larger party, ask about their tailgate package that serves 15 for $300

Nicks Food To Go

About a mile away from the stadium is about the best Greek food you’ll find in the city. Nick’s Food To Go is housed in a little white brick shack  on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. You can’t miss the jovial mural of Nick himself on the side. Inside this unassuming building are gyros that will have you giggling with happiness. We recommend the lamb, but Nicks’s also serves up chicken, pork and beef. The tzatziki sauce is something that you could drink with a straw it’s so good. One warning – the spiced fries won’t make it to the stadium if you sneak one of them early.

Republic Social House

The go-to pre gaming spots for many Braves fans is Republic Social House. We love to grab a spot on the roof before a Braves game. Republic is right on Memorial, across from Oakland Cemetery, you have easy access to the games. Grab a few local brews and put in an order of wings. They are classic; what else would you want for a great ball game? They’re fried to crispy perfection and tossed in a hot and tangy buffalo sauce. Make sure you get extra napkins.

Daddy D’z BBQ Joynt

Right across from Nick’s Food To Go is a BBQ shack worth the stop. Don’t worry about not being able to find it, you’ll be able to smell the slow cooked meat and smoke for a mile. Housed in a cinder block building, it lives up to its motto, “We ain’t pretty, but we’re good.” Grab a few classic plates of pulled pork and chicken to-go. Load up on extra sauce though, these guys are known far and wide for their spicy sauce. And, please don’t leave without an order of Que Wraps. These little tasty treats are like a mix of pigs in a blanket and egg rolls, but stuffed with bbq pork.
