Learn how to make AC Hotel’s Flor de Bahia cocktail

I recently had a drink named Flor de Bahia at the AC Hotel in Buckhead. It was excellent and had a unique flavor that I cannot pinpoint. Can you tell me the ingredients in the drink with a recipe to prepare it? Thanks. — Vicky Murphy, Atlanta

This cocktail from the AC Lounge at the newly opened AC Hotel Atlanta Buckhead at Phipps Plaza is the creation of Chris Adams. It’s not a surprise that you might not be able to guess all the components as it relies on a wide range of spirits and guava juice.

If you want to duplicate the hotel’s presentation, dried pomegranate and a wide range of other dried fruits are available from http://nuts.com

The hostess provides cocktails, appetizers, dinner, desserts and a trombone choir to perform from a balcony overlooking her pool. My favorite part of the evening, though, is always the tray of mini, homemade beef Wellingtons served before...

Remember when Alice ate that mushroom in Wonderland? “What can all that green stuff be?’ said Alice. “And where have my shoulders got to? Floral, sunny rosé fights back winter’s chill

Several years ago, the sky ablaze with early-evening sunlight, a formidable selection of rosé bottles in front of me, I thought, “Maybe this time it’s for real.” That summer event was designed to promote rosé drinking, to impress upon people that there was nothing wrong with enjoying a glass of pink wine. The aim of...

In the basement of a loft-style building in Tribeca that houses a vet, a dog swimming pool, an eye-and-ear infirmary and a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, there is a working farm.
