The mocktail is having a moment in the bars, but it’s a brunch menu standard for those seeking a tasty alternative to tippling.

From juice concoctions to house-made sodas to fresh fruit-infused agua frescas, try one of these vitamin-packed mocktails at your next restorative brunch session.

Saint Lawrence

In addition to cocktails for imbibing brunchers, JP Atlanta, newly opened in Hotel Indigo downtown, offers a few house-made soda concoctions that are available morning, noon and night.

Along with coffee, steak and eggs, try a a vitamin-packed Saint Lawrence for good measure. Ginger and pomegranate are muddled together with lime juice, soda and a touch of mint for a crisp and refreshing sparkler.

JP Atlanta, Hotel Indigo, 230 Peachtree St. N.E., Atlanta. 404-523-4004, jp-atlanta.com. Breakfast, 6:30-10:30 a.m. Mondays-Sundays; lunch, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays.

Shine On

Oak Steakhouse in Alpharetta’s Avalon doesn’t mess around when it comes to brunch. A giant burger containing three cuts of beef, a frittata with duck eggs, short rib and goat cheese, morning cocktails aplenty and, for those seeking to replenish lost vitamins, fresh-ingredient mocktails.

We’re fans of the Shine On, featuring the vegetal sweetness of beet juice and spicy bite of ginger beer. Add the zest from lime juice to brighten with muddled basil and you have a soothing alternative to boring OJ.

Oak Steakhouse, Avalon, 950 3rd St., Alpharetta. 678-722-8333, oaksteakhouseatlanta.com. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sundays.

Agua fresca

With three locations around Atlanta, BarTaco offers sun-worshipping brunchers shareable plates of tiny tacos plus freshly made agua frescas to refuel body, mind and soul.

BarTaco’s agua fresca combines the restorative powers of ginger with the refreshing bittersweetness of grapefruit juice. Add a little sugar and water and you’ll feel brand new after an afternoon soaking in some vitamin D with friends.

BarTaco, 969 Marietta St., Atlanta. 404-607-8226. 3802 Roswell Road N.E., Atlanta. 678-871-8226. 299 N. Highland Ave. N.E., Atlanta. 470-400-8226, bartaco.com. Available 11:30 a.m.-midnight daily.
