Comcast launches “Tech ETA” to improve service call issues

In an effort to boost confidence in service hook ups, Comcast announced Monday it has launched a new notification in its app to let customers know when a technician is on the way.

Called “Tech ETA,” the notification will provides the cable giant’s customers with a name and picture of the technician as well as a 30-minute window in which the worker is expected to arrive. The notification will be in the “my accounts” section of Comcast’s app.

“We’re working hard to improve the customer experience, and this is one of the many ways we want to help make our customers’ live easier,” the company said in a release.

The cable industry has generally had the worst customer service scores in the nation, including issues related to long wait times for technicians for in-home service calls.
