New and notable retail openings

If the number of retail openings are a sign of economic recovery, the metro area seems to be bouncing back. There are so many retail shops, restaurants, fitness centers and more popping up that it's hard to keep track of them all. Here are a some of the openings for this month and next.

Burn Studios : Now open

This multi-platform boutique fitness studio in Brookhaven's Brookleigh Development (3575 Durden Dr, Suite 202, Brookhaven) comes courtesy of Atlanta native Jeremy Levison (formerly of Flywheel Buckhead.) The studio offers a full-range of workouts including stadium cycling, high cardio kickboxing and yoga. You can also track your results and see metric rankings on leader boards while you work out and use heart rate monitor technology to stay in the zone. Classes include: Burn Cycle, Burnbox, Burn Body Yoga and Burn Sculpt.

Sugarfina : Opening Oct. 17

A candy boutique for adults, Sugarfina offers its signature aqua Bento Boxes full of sweet treats. Customize your box by choosing from more than 100 candies, including international brands not available anywhere else in the States. You also get free samples and assistance from a candy concierge in selecting top shelf candies, cocktail candies and more. All candies are labeled as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. The Sugarfina boutique is located in Lenox Square, 3393 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta

Bargainata Boutique : Opening Nov. 20

The Atlanta Section of the National Council of Jewish Women will open the Bargainata Thrift Boutique at 6600 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. It will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. The shop will feature women's clothing, including some high-end designer items, as well as shoes, accessories and jewelry. Cash and credit cards only. No checks.

Kit and Ace : Opening in November (and March)

Vancouver based Kit and Ace, founded by Shannon and JJ Wilson, the wife and son of Lululemon founder Chip Wilson, is opening two locations in Atlanta. The first, in Ponce City Market, will feature the brand's proprietary blends of luxury cashmere. The second metro-area location is scheduled to open in Buckhead this Spring.
