Actress turned analyst Stacey Dash reacts to Fox suspension

Fox News suspended Stacey Dash, the 48-year old actress best know for her role as Dionne in the 1995 film Clueless, after she used profanity in reference to President Obama.

Dash, a contributor to Fox since 2014, was a guest on the noontime show Outnumbered. She cannot appear on the air for two weeks. She tweeted what appears to be her reaction to the suspension:

Are you clueless about how Dash became a political analyst? She announced her support of Mitt Romney in 2012 on Twitter and was subsequently criticized for it. She later became a vocal supporter of conservative viewpoints. Dash has said in interviews that prior to supporting Romney she was not politically involved. Last year, she made a deal with Fox to make regular appearances on the network.

Atlantans may remember that Dash used to be something of a regular in these parts back in 2011 while filming the VH1 series Single Ladies. The series was cancelled after three seasons, but Dash was long gone by then. She left during season two under much speculation that her departure was not exactly voluntary. Both Dash and VH1 issued statements suggesting she was leaving to spend more time with her kids in Los Angeles and the shooting schedule in Atlanta didn't allow her to do that.

We next saw Dash resurface on a scripted comedy made for the web called Stacey Dash is Normal. I could only find one episode. Click here if you want to see it on You Tube. Her most recent work includes two films, Lap Dance and Patient Killer.

Earlier this year, Dash and State Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick, D-Lithonia, got into a Twitter fight after Dash criticized Patricia Arquette’s Academy Awards speech on equal pay.

Kendrick recanted the Facebook post in which she said she was going to "slap" Dash if she saw her. Read all about it here .
