From SI: Petrino and Grantham aren't getting along

Well, that didn't take long. According to an SI.com report by Pete Thamel and Thayer Evans, the odd Louisville couple that is Bobby Petrino (once the Falcons' coach) and Todd Grantham (recently Georgia's defensive coordinator) has already had a falling out . Who among us didn't see this one coming?

Write Thamel/Evans:

Sources with ties to the Cardinals' football program and Petrino said there's significant friction between Petrino and Grantham. The two have feuded often since Grantham's hiring in January -- so much that one source insists Petrino would have already gotten rid of Grantham if not for his guaranteed five-year contract that pays him nearly $1 million annually. He came to Louisville after four seasons as Georgia's defensive coordinator. "He's stuck with him," a source said.

This will surely delight most everyone in our state, if not the Derby City. Petrino will forever be regarded in these parts as a rat, Grantham as an overblown blowhard. Apparently nothing has changed. Again from SI:

There's also still lingering dissension about Petrino's arrival ... "He's a mean guy," said Jamaine Brooks, a former Louisville defensive end who left this past spring. "He cusses you out. You're never doing enough. He's still Bobby (expletive) Petrino."

So far as I know, these not-so-glad tidings will disappoint only one Georgian, that being yours truly. Because Genius Boy here decided to rank Louisville No. 20 in his Top 25.
